The Lake Forest Fire Department arrived at around 11:52 a.m. on Monday at the 600 block of Circle Lane after receiving a call about smoke in the area. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an active fire located in the McCormick Ravine, which is to the south of the initial location.

The fire was quickly contained, and no injuries were reported. Local residents were advised to stay indoors due to the smoke, and air quality monitoring is ongoing. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say it appears to be accidental. Firefighters remain on scene to ensure the area is fully secured.
