The hard chromium piston rods we produce are processed with precision milling and surface chromium treatment, achieving a surface precision level of f7 and a hardness of at least HV800. We conduct corrosion resistance tests in our internal salt spray laboratory. The rods undergo surface heat treatment, reaching a hardness of HRC 55 ± 2°, with a hardened depth between 0.5mm and 3mm. After precision milling and hard chrome plating, the chrome layer thickness reaches 20 microns ± 10%, significantly improving wear resistance and longevity.

Produced from medium carbon cold-finished or hot rolled steel bars (usually 1045 grade), these bars are centerless ground, polished, and chrome plated to a minimum thickness of 0.0005" per side. They are widely used in piston rod applications for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
**Induction Hardened Chrome Plated Bars**
