Domestic petrochemical pump demand

At the International Pump Technology Summit held on December 7, the senior engineer Chen Yunzhong of Sinopec Consulting Co., Ltd. estimated that from 2008 to 2010, the domestic petrochemical industry will need about 25,000 petrochemical pumps each year, and the total volume will reach 7.5. Million or so.

According to statistics, petrochemical industrial pumps account for 1/3 of the total industrial pump used in the country. A medium-sized refinery uses about 1,000 pumps, of which centrifugal pumps account for about 80%; a large petrochemical plant uses about 2,000 pumps, of which centrifugal pumps account for about 45%. At present, there are more than 1,300 petrochemical plants in the petrochemical industry in China. By 2010, China will need to add about 14 sets of 10 million tons of oil refining and related equipment, and add about 8 sets of ethylene equipment of 800,000 to 1 million tons. By 2020, China will need to add about 25 sets of 10 million tons of oil refining and related equipment, and add about 9 sets of ethylene equipment of 800,000 to 1 million tons.

Despite the attractive market prospects, Chen Yunzhong reminded the domestic pump manufacturing industry that it should pay attention to the following aspects: Localization of equipment should be a requirement for complete machines. It is unrealistic to require all materials and components to be fully domesticated; the development of pumps should be Keep up with the pace of large-scale equipment; continue to develop new products to meet the needs of new process development; gradually adopt advanced design and processing methods to produce products with superior performance.
