Successful test of Nanjing Gaojing 6500 square cutter suction dredger reamer gear box

The 6500 square cutter suction dredger constructed by Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. is currently the world's largest non-self-propelled cutter suction dredger and one of the world's largest cutter suction dredgers. The ship was designed by Shanghai Jiaotong University Ship and Ocean Engineering Design Institute, and Nanjing Gaojing Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. signed an order in 2015.

It is reported that the cutter gearbox is the most critical gear reduction equipment of the ship. The design weight of a single set is about 220T. The product structure is complex, the working conditions are harsh, the reliability requirements are high, the processing is difficult, and the manufacturing period is tight. In the development process, Nanjing Gaojing Marine has set up a special R&D team to make full technical preparations around the technical requirements of the gearbox, and has carried out a large number of analysis and calculations, from rough procurement, process preparation to manufacturing and heat treatment control. In the key processes such as assembly test and car, the quality control is strictly carried out and the whole process is tracked, overcoming multiple design and production and processing problems, and providing users with high reliability and cost-effective quality products under the premise of guaranteeing delivery date.

In addition, Nanjing High-precision Marine has completed the user acceptance of the in-cabin pump gearbox and the underwater pump gearbox, which reflects the overall packing capacity of the South High-tooth Cutter Suction Dredger gearbox. The completion of the project has further consolidated NGC's leading position in the Chinese dredger market and accumulated important experience for similar projects in the future.
