The experts believe that their research results have reached the domestic leading level.

Wind power generation is the key direction for the development and construction of new energy in China. The market demand for bearings, one of the important components of wind turbines, is constantly expanding. However, the production of bearings for wind power generation in China is still in its infancy. Xining Special Steel Company responded to the market demand, after three years of unremitting efforts, in accordance with the structural characteristics and working conditions of the bearings for wind power generation, through the development of oxygen content control in steel, non-metallic inclusion control, oversize specifications of electroslag ingot remelting technology research The research on the heating technology of large size electroslag ingots and other special studies have developed four high-quality bearing steels for wind power, such as GCr15, GCr15SiMn, GCr18Mo, and GCr15SiMo, which fill the domestic gap. At present, this series of products has achieved mass production, with a cumulative production of 1,479.31 tons, and an output value of 1,574.50 million yuan, with significant economic benefits.
