The Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator is celebrating its fourth year with a diverse group of 12 startups from Alabama, eight other U.S. states, and even Latvia. As part of this year’s focus, the Alabama News Center is highlighting some of the most innovative companies in the 2023 cohort. In this Startup Spotlight, we’re taking a closer look at **EV Safe Charge**, a Los Angeles-based startup that’s redefining how people charge their electric vehicles.

We're leading the way with our groundbreaking product, **ZiGGY**, a mobile EV charging robot that combines convenience with smart technology. ZiGGY offers an innovative solution for commercial spaces, hotels, airports, and more, eliminating the need for costly infrastructure while also generating revenue through digital advertising. **ANC: What inspired you to start this company? How do you want to contribute to the future of energy and tech?** **Ehrenhalt:** I wanted a cleaner planet, so I bought an EV. But when I tried to get a charger installed, I realized there was a big gap in the market. That’s when EV Safe Charge was born. I want to help make the transition to electric vehicles easier and more accessible for everyone. **ANC: What attracted you to the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator?** **Ehrenhalt:** The strong focus on energy innovation and sustainability, along with the supportive community of entrepreneurs and industry leaders. **ANC: What is the No. 1 thing you’d like potential investors to understand about your company?** **Ehrenhalt:** Our mobile charging robot, ZiGGY, is already getting a lot of attention around the world.
