This year, China's auto exports to Central Asian countries

According to statistics from Urumqi Customs, the number of cars exported from Xinjiang ports to Central Asian countries has risen sharply this year. From January to November, 20563 motor vehicles were exported from various ports in Xinjiang, with an export value of 507 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.2 times and 3.1 times respectively.

According to the Urumqi Customs, this year's Xinjiang port exports show three major characteristics: First, the export market share has expanded. The cars exported by Xinjiang mainly flow to countries in Central Asia and Russia, Ukraine and other countries. Among them, the trade volume of exports to the five Central Asian countries reached 420 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.8 times year-on-year.

Second, both general trade and border trade in small-scale trade vehicles have grown substantially. Third, private enterprises’ automotive exports rank first. From January to November, the export volume of private enterprises’ auto exports reached 347 million U.S. dollars.

It is understood that the main reasons for the rapid growth of auto exports are: the economic development of neighboring countries is relatively rapid, the scale of infrastructure construction is expanding, and the demand for automobiles is large; passenger facilities in neighboring countries are facing upgrading; China's export vehicle price-performance ratio has a comparative advantage.
