Whether in analytical chemistry, environmental science, or biomedical field, it has been more and more widely used.

On March 15th, the Asset Management Office of Kunming University of Science and Technology organized an expert group to perform acceptance tests on the TOF.SIMS-5.
After verifying the equipment parts, accessories models, quantity, and the dynamic ion energy expansion technology (EDR) of the analyzer, the expert group believed that the equipment was fully installed, and the equipment performance and EDR indicators had reached the contract targets and passed the ultimate acceptance. At the same time, the expert group put forward some opinions and suggestions on the maintenance and management of equipment and the development and utilization of equipment performance. Up to now, the school has sold more than 5 million yuan in equipment and equipment has reached 5 sets.
The time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometer (TOF.SIMS-5) is mainly used for the surface microscopic studies of mineral surface depth profile, surface chemical agent adsorption layer thickness, surface trace components, surface organics adsorption speculation, surface 3D characterization and imaging. After further skilled equipment operation and performance, TOF.SIMS-5 will be officially put into use and play an active role in the experimental teaching and scientific research of mineral processing engineering, mineralogy, materials science, life sciences and other specialties.
