Advantech has introduced an ADAM-4562 lightweight USB-to-RS-232 converter. The device is an isolated protection converter for modems, printers, POS systems and industrial control devices.
The ADAM-4562 supports Windows 98/XP/2000 operating system drivers and provides a complete solution for on-site maintenance. At the same time, 2,500 VDC isolation protection is provided to make the system more stable and increase the transmission rate.
In addition, the ADAM-4562 allows PC users to connect serial devices to systems with USB interfaces, allowing them to communicate with standard computer hardware without having to open the cover or turn off the PC power to install the hub. Its power is provided by the USB port. The ADAM-4562 supports 9-wire RS-232, which not only supports rate transmission but also provides signal handshake, and can be connected to a variety of devices such as PLCs, modems and controllers.
