Shanxi Dachuan's 100,000-ton/year methanol plant was stopped on November 5 due to the explosion of the compressor. The plant has been restarted. It is expected that the already-sold products will be sold next week, and no quotation is yet available. The first phase of the 100,000-ton/year methanol project has been put into production, and the second-phase project, which can produce 280,000 tons/year of methanol, has been built. It is planned to start production at the end of 2008.
