The launch of the project will greatly reduce the sulfur content of gasoline and reduce environmental pollution, marking the company's green project into a new stage.
The group company decided to use 10 sets of gasoline desulfurization production equipment to improve the stability of gasoline quality, and it is of great significance for environmental protection and sustainable development. The first set of equipment has been completed and put into use in Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical, and the second set will be built in the refinery department of Gaoqiao Petrochemical. This 1.2 million-ton/year catalytic gasoline desulfurization unit adopts the advanced technology of the United States Kangfei Company, which can significantly reduce the corrosion rate of sulfur components and sulfur components in gasoline to refinery equipment and automobiles.
The plant is planned to start piling construction in the second half of 2008. It has entered an intense design stage and will purchase equipment in the near future to ensure that it will be put into use before the second half of next year and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
