It is expected that the construction of the plant will be started in early 2012 and will be put into production in the first half of 2013. The rubber auxiliaries and rubber release agents produced by this factory are mainly supplied to the automotive and tire markets in Russia and other CIS countries. It is predicted that in 2016, Russia will become the largest passenger car market in Europe. The LANXESS Group stated that Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries are very important markets for them. The establishment of a factory in Russia will help them meet the needs of the local market.

LANXESS entered the Russian market in 2009 and currently employs 30 employees in Russia. LANXESS expects to build 40 new jobs in the new plant in Russia. After the factory is completed, it will produce 1,500 tons of Rhenogran rubber additive and 500 tons of Rhenodiv rubber release agent per year.
