Taizhou Valve Exports look forward to upgrading

According to statistics, in 2011, the Taizhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau completed a total of 26,550 batches of export valve inspections with an export value of 1.198 billion U.S. dollars, a record high.

Valves are an important part of equipment manufacturing and construction projects. In recent years, with the growth of the national economy, the development has been very rapid. Yuhuan County, Taizhou City has also won the "China Valve Capital", "Chinese plumbing, valve boutique production (procurement) base" and other honors. In 2011, the amount of export valves in Taizhou hit a record high, mainly due to the recovery of the international economy and the implementation and encouragement of domestic policies to revitalize the manufacturing of Machinery Parts and components. However, the gap between the overall level of the industry and the advanced countries is still relatively large, the industrial concentration is low, the scale of the company is small, the product structure is irrational, and the degree of product differentiation is low; the quality problems caused by cutting corners are serious; and the manufacturing and testing equipment are backward.

To speed up the transformation, upgrade and development of the valve industry, Taizhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau made the following recommendations: Integrate existing resources through various forms of joint ventures, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and share participation, nurture large-scale enterprise groups, and lead and upgrade the manufacturing level of the entire industry. Strengthen the ability to compete with foreign companies; organize major technical breakthroughs, break through key technologies for high-end valve manufacturing, help pioneering companies upgrade their product mix, increase access threshold for export valves, promote valve industry rectification, and reduce the risk of cutting corners and cutting costs The phenomenon of competition regulated industry behavior; through perfecting laws and regulations and technical standards, enterprises were encouraged to improve the quality management system and establish a comprehensive inspection system. At the same time, the use of market mechanisms and means to adjust the industrial layout and eliminate backward companies and production capacity. The government departments at all levels should unite together with the industry associations to establish information on market supply and demand, production capacity, technical and economic indicators, and regularly publish systems and industry warning systems to guide the healthy development of enterprises. Between the industry associations and the enterprises, a positive interaction mechanism of "enterprise support associations and association service enterprises" has been established.
