Bromobutyl rubber is an irreplaceable raw material for the production of tubeless radial tire inner liners for vehicles. With the rapid development of China's tire industry, the consumption of bromobutyl rubber has exceeded that of ordinary butyl rubber. Currently, domestic demand all depends on imports, and the price is above 30,000 yuan/ton. Brominated butyl rubber is the trend of the future development of butyl rubber, and the prospects are very promising. For this reason, Yanshan Petrochemical's brominated butyl rubber technology development was included in the “Ten Long Tackling†project during Sinopec Group's “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period. . It is expected that the device will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2008.
