Analysis of Raw Grain Factors Affecting Milling Performance

The choice of raw grain is an important part of rice mill testing or testing. The quality of the raw grain will directly affect the quality of the test results, which mainly affects the technical parameters of finished rice. After comparing various kinds of raw grains, there are six main factors affecting the test results.
1. The grain shape of grain-shaped rice is the surface shape of grain. According to its aspect ratio, it has a long grain shape and a round grain shape (tend to be spherical). The indicators of rice output and broken rice rate are closely related to the grain shape of processed rice. The closer the particle shape is to the sphere or the smaller the aspect ratio, the higher the compressive strength is, and it is not easy to break. The better the processing, the better the test index, and vice versa.
2, burst waist rate burst waist refers to brown rice grains appear one or more criss-cross cracks. The main reason is that rice is affected by mechanical external force or in the process of drying, the internal and external drying rates of grains are inconsistent to form internal stress, and stress cracks will occur when the internal stress exceeds the grain's own tensile strength. The formation of explosive waist greatly reduces the strength of rice grains, and the rice grains are easily broken during processing to increase the broken rice rate.
3. Moisture content The water content of rice directly affects the working condition of the rice mill, which is related to the toughness of the rice chaff, the binding force between the brown rice cortex and the endosperm, the breaking strength of the endosperm, the ease of milling, and the condition of the rice mill. Whether the powder can be discharged in a timely manner.
4. Keratinocyte rate The endosperm of rice has a high keratinocyte rate, which has a compact structure and a high compressive strength. It is not easy to produce broken rice during processing. The use of raw grains containing high keratinocytes as experimental raw materials will bring good results to the rice mills' rice yield and crushing rate. On the contrary, the grain with high silt rate of endosperm has low structural loose compressive strength, and it is easy to crush and form broken rice in the processing process, which is very unfavorable to the performance index of the finished product of the rice mill.
5. Uniformity Rice uniformity refers to the degree of consistency in the shape, shape, size, and moisture content of rice. The higher the uniformity of the rice, the easier it is to operate and debug the rice mill and its associated equipment.
6. Containment rate The raw grains used for testing should be cleaned before it meets the requirements of the raw grain requirements for all varieties of rice of different grades that are less than or equal to 1.0%.
