On June 10, 2011, Prof. Zou Yuan from Beijing Institute of Technology revealed that more than 3,000 electric sanitation vehicles will be on the road in Beijing.
Zou Yuan said that this year, more than 1,000 electric sanitation trucks will be put into use for the first time. At present, Beijing has already issued local standards for charging facilities, including the harmonization of charging interfaces. Compared with ordinary sanitation vehicles, electric sanitation vehicles have zero emission, low noise, can be exchanged for electricity, and can run for three hours or more than 100 kilometers in one charge.
