The world's largest p-xylene plant in South Korea
On April 10th, Japan Showa Shell Petroleum Corporation, Japan Sun Petroleum Corporation and South Korea GS Caltex Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul, South Korea to expand GS Caltex's PX base in Yeosu, Korea. Its production capacity has been expanded from the current 1.35 million tons/year to 2.35 million tons/year. This will be the largest paraxylene plant in the world.
