According to reports, after the completion of one million tons of ethylene and supporting projects, the daily water consumption will exceed 80,000 tons, and the total annual water use will exceed 30 million tons, which will become a real super water user in Tianjin. Therefore, from the start of the project, the project centered on the strategy of sustainable development. With the advantage that Tianjin Petrochemical is located along the coast and has inexhaustible sea water resources, it can use seawater desalination technology to solve the problem of project industrial water use. More than 60% of the project's industrial water use will come from seawater desalination. After the year's completion and production, the daily desalinated seawater at the chemical treatment station will reach 60,000 tons to 80,000 tons. Among them, industrial water will use all diluted seawater.
During the construction of the 1 million-ton ethylene project, Tianjin Petrochemical Company not only solved the water shortage problem of the project through the water station, but also built a new batch of sewage treatment facilities, closely following the reuse of sewage, so that the amount of sewage returned to 1000 cubic meters per hour , tons of oil consumption from the current 0.85 tons to 0.6 tons or less.
