If the gear box is not working, then you It is impossible to get a satisfactory speed, or the life of gears may be reduced, so choosing the right lubricant for your gearbox and axle is really important.


First look at the role of gear oil, it should have the following two roles:

(1) Lubricate gears and bearings to prevent wear and rust.

(2) To help heat the gears.


Gear lubricants should have the following characteristics:

(1) Appropriate and strong oil film can be formed on gears.

(2) It has good oxidation resistance and is not easily deteriorated.

(3) High viscosity index is favorable for starting at low temperature.

(4) Excellent anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties.

In terms of gear oil viscosity, the SAE of the American Society of Automotive Engineers has classified the viscosity of vehicle's gear oil into 7 grades. SAE 75W/90 viscosity grades are commonly used in cars or minibuses, and SAE 85W/140 viscosity is used in large trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. SAE 85W/90 viscous gear oil can be used throughout most of the country, and SAE 75W/90 viscosity grade gear oil can be used in winter in the cold northeast, and SAE90, SAE85W/140 and SAE140 viscosity grades can be used in summer and heavy load vehicle conditions.

Careful friends may ask, gear oil viscosity level is not much higher than the viscosity of the engine oil? In fact, SAE ranks the viscosity grades of engine oil and gear oil separately. In terms of actual viscosity, the viscosity of gear oil is only equivalent to the viscosity of engine oil SAE 40 or 50. In industrial applications, the viscosity of lubricating oils is generally graded in accordance with ISO viscosity standards. Therefore, the viscosity of lubricating oil cannot be judged simply by the SAE's numerical grade, and their uses, types, viscosity classification standards, methods for checking viscosity, and test temperatures are the same. For example, SAE test viscosity is 100°C kinematic viscosity of oils. The ISO test viscosity is the kinematic viscosity of the oil at 40°C.

In terms of quality, the American Petroleum Institute (API) classifies automotive gear oils into GL-1 through GL-5. "GL" stands for gear oil. The larger the number behind GL, the higher the load level. The two commonly used are GL-4 and GL-5. Gear oils that meet GL-5 have more gear oil than GL-4. Good resistance to impact loads and better performance. Because the current domestic vehicles are mostly operated under overloaded and intense working conditions, the load on the gear oil is very high, so it is recommended that users should use the higher grade GL-5 gear oil as well. When selecting gear oil, the user can use gear oil produced by a large scale lubricant factory. The quality of gear oil produced by these manufacturers is still very assured.

1,Our material (hot Rolled Unalloyed structural steel, high and low temperature steel, High Alloy steel)
We have no carbon steel plates in our stock and most of plates are from Chinese steel market or mill. Meanwhile As Japanese owed company, We can also source the plates from Japanese ex-mill if end user can`t accept ex-chinese mill.
Basically the delivery time shall be below 20days for dished heads if plates are from steel market. and Max plates width from them is below 2200mm. it means that the seamless dished heads diameter shall be below about 1800mm.
The max width CS plates that Chinese mill can do is below 4700mm,and dished heads can be seamless below 3800mm in
diameter.
