Wide-ranging performance Hongji Separator’s decanter centrifuges deliver exceptional performance in separating solids from liquids. They enable continuous, efficient, and controlled separation processes. These machines are designed to handle a wide range of solid particles, with sizes ranging from 5mm down to a few microns. Dry beach The feed suspension is introduced through an inlet pipe into the feed zone of the conveyor. It is accelerated and directed into the bowl. The settled solids are conveyed axially toward the small end of the bowl by the screw conveyor, which rotates at a slightly different speed than the bowl. As they move toward the discharge ports, the solids are lifted out of the pond along the dry beach. Finally, the solids are discharged through the ports into the casing's collecting chamber, where they are removed by gravity through the outlet funnel. The liquid forms a hollow cylinder due to centrifugal force and flows toward the large end of the bowl. Solids phase The light liquid phase is discharged through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase exits via axial holes. To prevent the light liquid from exiting through the heavy liquid outlet, a separating plate is placed inside the hub. The heavy liquid must pass under this plate before being discharged. The radius for the heavy liquid is also controlled by plate dams, while the solids are discharged in the usual way. Features All components in contact with the product are made of stainless steel. A 3-phase AC motor allows for controlled torque starting via frequency converter. Bowl speed is adjustable via VFD to achieve the required G-force for optimal separation. The pond depth in the bowl is adjustable to balance between liquid clarity and solids dryness. Conveying speed is also adjustable for optimized performance. Continuous and automatic operation reduces labor costs. High G-force increases solids output, and differential speed is automatically adjusted via VFD. Two motor drive systems are available, along with belts for both primary and secondary motors. Materials The bowl, conveyor, inlet tube, outlets, cover, and other parts in direct contact with the process media are all made of stainless steel. Discharge ports, conveyor flights, and the feed zone are protected with erosion-resistant materials. The frame is constructed from mild steel with an epoxy enamel finish. Vibration dampers are installed beneath the frame. The rotating assembly is enclosed in a casing with a cover and a bottom section that includes integrated outlets for solids and liquid. Decanter Centrifuge Drive System One Motor Drive: This simple design is cost-effective for purchase and operation. It is suitable when solid volume is constant, solids are easy to convey, and residual water content requirements are not strict. The input shaft is driven by the main motor via a belt drive, generating differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Belt pulleys can be easily replaced to adjust the speed. Two Motor Drive: This system enables cost-effective differential speed regulation under good operating conditions. The secondary motor drives the gear input shaft, generating differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Differential speed can be easily adjusted by changing the motor speed. This is ideal when solid volumes fluctuate significantly, solids are difficult to convey, or stringent residual water content requirements exist. Hydro Drive: Similar to the two motor drive, but instead of a mechanical gear, a rotating hydromotor is used, supplied with hydraulic regulation from a pump unit. Automatic regulation is possible since differential speed is proportional to the oil flow rate.
