Dry beach The feed suspension is introduced through an inlet pipe into the feed zone of the conveyor, where it is accelerated and directed into the bowl. The settled solids are conveyed axially towards the small end of the bowl by the screw conveyor, which rotates slightly faster than the bowl. As they move toward the discharge ports, the solids are lifted out of the pond along the dry beach. They are then discharged through the ports into the collecting chamber of the casing. From there, they are removed via gravity through the outlet funnel. The liquid forms a hollow cylinder due to centrifugal force and flows toward the large end of the bowl. Solids phase The light liquid phase is discharged through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase exits through axial holes. The radius for the light liquid is smaller than that for the heavy one. The liquid level is controlled by plate dams. A separating plate prevents the light liquid from exiting through the heavy liquid outlet. The heavy liquid must pass under this plate before being discharged. A 3-phase AC motor enables controlled torque starting via frequency converter. Bowl speed is adjustable via VFD to achieve optimal G-force for separation. The pond depth in the bowl is adjustable to balance between liquid clarity and solids dryness. Conveying speed is also adjustable for optimized performance. Two motor drive: Enables cost-effective differential speed regulation under good operating conditions. The secondary motor drives the gear input shaft, generating differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Differential speed can be adjusted by changing motor speed. Used when solids volumes fluctuate, when conveying is difficult, or when stringent residual water content requirements exist. Hydro drive: Similar to two motor drive but uses a hydromotor instead of a mechanical gear, supplied with hydraulic regulation from a pump unit. Differential speed is proportional to oil flow, allowing automatic regulation without issues.
