·Electronic and electrical system failure becomes the biggest culprit in car defect recall

On the 21st, the AQSIQ issued a report indicating that as of December 18, the number, frequency and overall size of car recalls reached a record high.
The official website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced the information. Since the implementation of the defective automobile product recall system in October 2004, China has implemented 1079 recalls of vehicles and recalled 25,334,500 vehicles. Among them, a total of 186 recalls affected by the AQSIQ defect investigation involved 1,111,100 vehicles, accounting for 44% of the total number of recalls. In the past 11 years, from the recall of the automobile assembly involved, the engine assembly recalled the most, recalling 270 times, involving a total of 809.80 million vehicles; followed by airbags and seat belt assemblies, a total of 134 recalls, involving a total of 4,110,800; Once again, the electrical equipment assembly was recalled 181 times, involving a total of 2,794,800 units.
However, as the degree of electronic electronics has increased, this data has not been able to accurately reflect the distribution of defects in today's automobiles.
According to the statistics of Product Safety and Recall magazine, in the first half of 2015 alone, 42 auto manufacturers implemented a total of 124 recalls, recalling a total of 293,400 defective automotive products. Among them, involving electronic and electrical equipment 42 times, a total of 1828019 vehicles; engine 30 times, a total of 697,304 vehicles; body parts 19 times, a total of 31,472 vehicles; steering / suspension 14 times, a total of 206,922 vehicles; brakes / wheels 12 times, a total of 62,030 vehicles The power transmission system is 6 times, a total of 105,102 vehicles; the other parts are 1 time, involving 561 vehicles.
The above data shows that electronic and electrical systems have replaced powertrains as the most vulnerable automotive systems.
In addition, the "Circular" shows that a total of 226 recalls were carried out by 76 enterprises across the country, involving 5.458 million defective vehicles. The number of recalls increased by 29% compared with the same period of last year, and the number increased by 17% compared with the same period of last year.
For the surge in the number of car recalls, Zhang Zhiyong, an expert in the automotive industry, said that the increase in the number of recalls is more due to the awareness of corporate recall, the awareness of consumer rights protection, and the stricter laws, regulations and policies. At the same time, the sales scale and the increase in the number of cars in the Chinese auto market are also a reason for the increase in the number of car recalls.
Another phenomenon is that the number of recalls of self-owned brands is only a small fraction of the overall recall. According to the Beijing Business Daily, as of December 18, 2015, the total number of recalls of domestic self-owned brands was about 760,000, accounting for 13% of the total number of recalls. In terms of the number of recalls, the number of recalls of domestic independent brands was about For 14 times, it accounts for 6% of the total recalls.
It is reported that since the implementation of the defective automobile product recall system in 2004, domestic self-owned brands have repeatedly seen the number of annual recalls being single digits or even zero. For example, from 2011 to 2013, only one of the 82 recalls in 2011 was initiated by independent brands. In the 71 recalls in 2012, there were 5 times. In the 134 recalls in 2013, the self-owned brands accounted for 10 times.
According to industry analysts, the main reason for this phenomenon is that the self-owned brands are obstructed by the face. When the car is defective, it will be privately recalled without making an announcement. In the mature automobile market such as Europe and the United States, the recall is quite common. This is the performance of the vehicle manufacturers responsible for consumers. These vehicle companies also adopt the same routine in China. As a result, the number and frequency of recalls of independent brands and joint venture brands have been very different.
In addition to the issuance of the Notice, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has also formulated the departmental regulations for the Implementation Measures for the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls (hereinafter referred to as the “Implementation Measures”), which will be officially implemented on January 1, 2016. . As a detailed regulation of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, the Implementation Measures further clarified and strengthened the obligations of producers to recall the main body of responsibility, and increased the obligations to auto parts producers.
