A few days ago, Netcom learned from the AQSIQ Defective Product Management Center that FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it had recalled 189,136 vehicles for the Vios, Corolla, Corolla EX and Yaris models due to safety hazards.
According to the information released by the AQSIQ Defective Product Management Center, the recalled models are the Vios, Corolla and Corolla EX cars produced from April 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008, involving 166,369 vehicles. And Yaris Automobile, which was produced from May 15, 2008 to December 31, 2008, involved 22,767 vehicles.
It is understood that due to the supplier's reasons for this recall, the gas generator container may be damaged when the airbag of the passenger's seat is deployed, causing the debris to fly out, which may damage the personnel inside the vehicle and pose a safety hazard.
For the information related to the recall, Netcom called the official 400 service hotline of FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. as a consumer and consulted. The other party said: It has received the manufacturer's recall notice, part of the Vios, Corolla and Corolla EX cars produced from April 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008, and Yaris produced from May 15, 2008 to December 31, 2008. The car will be recalled on September 25, 2015. At that time, the authorized dealer will notify the owner of the recall by telephone or SMS. At the same time, the owner can also call the official customer service hotline and provide the frame number of the vehicle to confirm whether the vehicle is involved in the recall.
Netcom has consulted some authorized dealers and asked about the implementation of the vehicle recall plan. Some customer service personnel said that they have obtained the recall plan of Vios, Corolla and Corolla EX and Yaris Automobile, FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. The recall measures are being formulated. FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will replace the airbag components involved in the recall for free to eliminate safety hazards.
