Technical Rescue in Lansing, 9-11-18

On Tuesday morning, a driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed his semi-truck into an apartment building located in the 18400 block of South Torrence Avenue. Emergency crews from Divisions 19, 24, and 27 arrived on scene with specialized technical rescue teams. The driver was safely extracted after about an hour, and there were no reported fatalities. It's a sobering reminder of how quickly things can go wrong when someone isn't fully alert behind the wheel.
