Wheaton Fire Department ceremony

It was an honor to attend another Swearing-In and Promotional Ceremony this week, this time at the Wheaton Fire Department on Thursday, May 28, 2015. It's always inspiring to witness the dedication and hard work of our firefighters as they take on new roles and responsibilities.

Here are the individuals who were sworn in as new firefighters:

  • Nick Mellinger
  • Matt Ackerman

The following firefighters were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant:

  • Chris Hunecke
  • Mike Byas
  • Mike Franzone

And the following were promoted to Assistant Chief:

  • Jeff MacKay
  • Pete Vassios

Congratulations to all of them on their well-deserved achievements. It's a proud moment for the department and for their families as well.
