Transformer parameter index introduction

Transformer parameter index introduction Transformer has a lot of parameter indicators, which have what, and many people are very concerned about this issue, the following is a small series for everyone to introduce several common voltage parameters:

1. Rated voltage The rated voltage is divided into primary rated voltage and secondary rated voltage. The primary rated voltage refers to the effective value of primary voltage according to the transformer insulation strength and temperature rise under the rated working condition of the transformer. For a power transformer, it usually refers to the supply voltage applied to the primary winding of the transformer as specified. The secondary rated voltage is the effective value of the secondary output voltage when the primary is rated for voltage and the secondary is idling.

2. Rated current Under the condition that the primary voltage is rated, the current that the primary winding can normally input and the secondary winding can output normally is called the primary and secondary rated currents, respectively.

3. Rated capacity The rated capacity of a transformer is the output capacity of the transformer under rated operating conditions. For high power transformers, it can be expressed as the product of the rated voltage of the secondary winding and the rated current. For small power transformers, the primary and secondary capacities should be calculated separately due to different operating conditions.

The product of the rms primary rated voltage and the rated current rms is called the primary capacity, denoted by A. The product of the secondary rated voltage rms and the rated current RMS is called the secondary capacity and is represented by Pz.

4. Rated frequency Rated frequency refers to the voltage frequency value of the normal operation of the transformer. In general, the rated frequency is 5OHz. When needed, transformers can be designed with frequencies of 40 OHz, IkHz, and lOkHz.

5. No-load current When the power transformer secondary open circuit, the primary winding still has a certain current, this current is the transformer no-load current.

6. Temperature rise Temperature rise refers to the difference between the average temperature of the wire package and the ambient temperature after the transformer is operated to the thermal stability under the rated load.

7. The operating temperature class specifies the permissible operating temperature according to the life of the insulating material used in the transformer, expressed in levels.
