Volkswagen will fully acquire Mann to create the largest commercial vehicle alliance

According to Reuters, German automaker Volkswagen is now on its way to the acquisition of its three truck business. Volkswagen has finalized an agreement to implement full financial and strategic controls on truck manufacturer MANSE.

As the largest automaker in Europe, Volkswagen announced on Thursday that both the company and Mann's board of supervisors have approved a so-called profit and loss transfer agreement.

According to this agreement, Volkswagen will acquire its unowned Mann Equity at a price of 80.89 Euro per share. According to the data, Volkswagen’s current shareholding in Mann is 75.03%.

Volkswagen also seeks to further integrate Mann and Swedish truck manufacturer Scania, which is currently controlled by Volkswagen, which is currently the commercial vehicle division of Volkswagen. VW's move aims to reduce the cost of procurement, production and R&D.

Volkswagen's integration of its trucks will enable the company to surpass Daimler and Volvo as the largest heavy truck manufacturers in Europe.

This is part of the planning that Volkswagen has pursued to further integrate its business. Data show that as of 1250GMT, Volkswagen's share price rose 0.6% to 151.65 euros per share. Mann's stock rose 0.4% to 85.25 euros per share.
